General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope

1. These General Terms and Conditions apply to the booking of hotel rooms, suites and chalets as well as to all other services and provisions of Hotel Piz Buin Klosters.

2. By making a reservation, the guest accepts these GTC.

3. Deviating agreements or terms and conditions of the guest shall only apply if expressly confirmed in writing by the hotel.

2. Conclusion of contract

1. The contract between the guest and the hotel is concluded upon written confirmation of the reservation by the hotel or by actual use of the services.

2. If a third party makes the booking for the guest, that third party shall be jointly liable with the guest for all obligations arising from the reservation.

3. The hotel reserves the right to refuse reservations without giving reasons.

3. Services and prices

1. The hotel undertakes to provide the rooms reserved by the guest and the agreed services.

2. All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include statutory value-added tax (VAT), unless otherwise stated, but exclude local tourist/resort taxes.

3. Price changes are reserved if subsequent modifications to the booking are made, in particular with regard to the length of stay, room category or number of persons.

4. Additional services used by the guest during the stay will be charged extra.

4. Payment terms

1. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are to be settled no later than at departure.

2. The hotel may require a credit card guarantee, prepayment or deposit at the time of reservation.

3. In the event of late payment, the hotel is entitled to charge interest on late payments in accordance with statutory provisions.

4. The guest may only offset claims against the hotel with counterclaims that have been legally established or acknowledged in writing.

1. Cancellations must be made in writing.

2. Unless otherwise agreed, the following cancellation conditions apply:

  • up to 14 days before arrival: free of charge
  • 13 to 7 days before arrival: 50% of the booked stay
  • from 6 days before arrival or in case of no-show: 100% of the booked stay

3. The hotel recommends taking out travel cancellation insurance.

4. If the room can be resold, the hotel may waive all or part of the cancellation costs.

1. The hotel is entitled to withdraw from the contract for objectively justified reasons, in particular if:

  • force majeure or other unforeseeable circumstances make performance of the contract impossible;
  • incorrect or misleading information was provided in the booking;
  • there is justified reason to believe that the stay would endanger the operation, safety or reputation of the hotel.

2. Payments already made will be refunded in this case. Further claims by the guest are excluded.

1. Rooms are available from 15:00 at the hotel and from 16:00 in the chalet on the day of arrival.

2. On the day of departure, rooms must be vacated by 11:30 at the latest.

3. In the event of late vacating of the room, the hotel may charge additional fees:

  • until 17:00: 50% of the daily rate
  • after 17:00: 100% of the daily rate

1. Rooms may only be used by the registered guests.

2. Subletting or re-letting as well as use for other purposes requires the prior written consent of the hotel.

3. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. In case of breach, the hotel may charge additional cleaning costs.

1. The hotel is liable within the scope of statutory provisions for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

2. The hotel accepts no liability for guests' personal belongings, to the extent permitted by law.

3. The hotel accepts no liability for vehicles and their contents parked on the hotel car park or in the garage, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence by the hotel.

4. The guest is obliged to report any damages or defects to the hotel without delay.

1. Pets are permitted only with the prior consent of the hotel.

2. The hotel may charge a surcharge for pets.

3. The guest is liable for all damages or additional cleaning costs caused by pets.

1. Personal data will be processed solely in accordance with statutory data protection provisions.

2. Further information on data protection can be found on the hotel's website.

1. These terms are governed exclusively by Swiss law.

2. The place of jurisdiction is Klosters-Serneus, unless mandatory statutory provisions provide otherwise.

1. Amendments or additions to these GTC must be made in writing.

2. Should individual provisions of these GTC be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
