Purpose of the website

The website provides general information about Piz Buin Klosters as well as products and offers and career opportunities.

General information on the collection, processing and use of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, for example names, addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses that express the identity of a person.

We collect, process and use personal data (including IP addresses) only if this is necessary for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, or if processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests.

  • Contact details such as name, telephone number, email addresses, address, date of birth
  • Communication data such as your IP address, the MAC addresses of the devices used such as smartphone or computer, device and configuration information
  • Data on purchase history such as purchase data including information about the products or services purchased
  • Other personal data, such as credit card details, bank account details and data on professional career

Log files

Certain information is automatically transmitted by your internet browser and stored by us in so-called log files whenever you use the internet.

We store log files to identify malfunctions and for security reasons (e.g. to investigate attack attempts) for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which they were collected and subsequently delete or anonymise them. Log files whose further retention is required for evidentiary purposes are excluded from deletion until the relevant incident has been finally resolved and may, in individual cases, be passed on to investigative authorities. The storage of log files serves our legitimate interests in the smooth and correct operation of our website.

The following information is stored in the log files in particular:

  • IP address (Internet Protocol address) of the device from which the online service is accessed;
  • Internet address of the website from which the online service was called (so-called origin or referrer URL);
  • Name of the service provider via which access to the online service is made;
  • Name of the files or information retrieved;
  • Date and time as well as duration of the retrieval;
  • Amount of data transferred;
  • Operating system and information about the internet browser used, including installed add-ons (e.g. for a password manager);
  • HTTP status code (e.g. "request successful" or "requested file not found").

User analytics

Analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) are used on the website pizbuin-klosters.ch. The information collected about the use of the websites is stored on the servers of the tool providers.

With the help of the analytics tools we are able to collect and analyse data about how visitors use our website. This allows us to find out when and from which region which pages were accessed.

Other data collected may include, for example, filenames of the files accessed, browsers used, functions used or the length of time spent on the website.

Piz Buin Klosters has a legitimate interest in the anonymised analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both the web offering and advertising. If prior consent was requested when visiting our website (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out on the basis of your consent, which you can revoke at any time for the future.

Detailed information about the analytics tools used can be found in our Cookie Policy .

Disclosure of data

Your personal data will generally only be transferred to other controllers insofar as this is necessary for the performance of a contract, we or the third party have an overriding legitimate interest in the disclosure or you have given your consent.

In addition, data may be transferred to other controllers insofar as we are obliged to do so on the basis of statutory provisions or by enforceable official or judicial orders.

Service providers

We commission external service providers for tasks such as marketing services, development operations, data hosting, delivery and debugging. We have carefully selected these service providers and regularly monitor them, in particular with regard to their careful handling of and the protection of the data stored by them. All service providers are obliged by us to maintain confidentiality and to comply with legal requirements.

Disclosure to recipients outside the EEA

We may also transfer personal data to recipients whose registered office is outside the EEA in so-called third countries. In such cases, we ensure before the transfer that the recipient provides an adequate level of data protection by means of appropriate contractual agreements or, if necessary, that your consent to the transfer has been obtained.

Information on data storage: location & retention periods

Your data is primarily stored in Switzerland and Germany. Due to various service providers, data is also stored in other EU countries as well as within the USA.

We store your data as a rule for as long as this is necessary to provide our services and the associated services or we have a legitimate interest in further storage (e.g. we may still have a legitimate interest in postal marketing after a contract has been fulfilled). After that, we delete your personal data except for data that we must continue to store to fulfil legal obligations (e.g. we are required by tax and commercial retention periods to keep documents such as contracts and invoices for a certain period).

Marketing tools

We use various tools for marketing activities. When these tools are used, your browser may establish a direct connection to the servers of the respective tools. This gives the respective provider the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our offering. Log files analogous to those described under point 5 are also transmitted to and possibly stored on the servers of the respective providers. The provider or its servers may be located outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA (e.g. in the USA).

Data exchange takes place via third-party cookies.

Further information on the purpose, scope, further processing and use of the data can be found in our Cookie Policy and in the respective terms and privacy notices.

ADDITIVE+ LANDINGPAGE - Online marketing and landing pages

In addition to our website, we also operate optimised sales landing pages in the area of Online hotel marketing . To process your enquiry, booking, order, activation, registration or any other submission of a form on such a landing page and to store and retain your data, we use common cloud services and CRM systems as well as software from ADDITIVE GmbH, 39011 Lana (BZ), Italy (“ADDITIVE”), our managing Hotel marketing agency . The appropriate level of data protection is ensured by the data processing agreements concluded with the respective companies.

Our landing pages use functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics allows the analysis of how the website is used by its users. The information generated about your user behaviour is transmitted to the provider's server and stored there.

Your IP address is recorded but immediately anonymised (e.g. by deleting the last 8 bits). This only allows a coarse localisation.
You can prevent the transmission of data relating to your use of the online offering to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-analytics-opt-out/fllaojicojecljbmefodhfapmkghcbnh

ADDITIVE has access to the data collected via Google Analytics. These data are not used for purposes other than the analysis of the use of our websites and the evaluation of our marketing and sales activities.

Our websites and landing pages also use ADDITIVE functions for cross-channel collection of the use of our websites as well as marketing and sales activities such as landing pages, newsletters and social media presences. Information about your visits and submitted forms on our websites is also transferred to ADDITIVE in order to evaluate and optimise our marketing and sales activities.

The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.

Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is to improve our offering and our web presence by analysing the use of our website as well as sales and marketing measures.
In addition, our landing pages and our website use remarketing functions of Google Inc. (“Google”) and Meta Platforms Inc. (“Meta”). This transmits to Meta and Google that you have visited this website. These functions are used to present interest-based advertisements to visitors of the landing pages in Google's advertising network or on the social networks Facebook and Instagram.

Data processing in connection with these remarketing functions is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Art. 6(1)(a) (consent) of the GDPR.

When you visit our landing pages you will be informed by a banner about the use of cookies for these remarketing functions. Only by clicking the corresponding button to confirm do you consent to the use. You can object to the consent at any time by opening the cookie information page on the respective landing page and rejecting the use of cookies in the banner that appears.

You can object to the use of your data for this purpose at any time via the unsubscribe link in the respective message.

The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.
