Natalie's personal insider tip in Klosters? Definitely: a hike to the impressive Jöriseen. The circular route is one of the most beautiful walks in the region and delights with turquoise mountain lakes, rugged alpine landscape and spectacular views of the Jöri Glacier and the Silvretta massif. Especially in the early morning hours, when the first sun rays make the lakes glow and the mountain world is still, an almost magical atmosphere is created.
The hike starts at the Wägerhus on the Flüela Pass and leads over the Winterlücke and the Jöriflüelafurgga through an impressive high‑alpine landscape. Sure‑footedness and a good basic level of fitness are recommended – you will be rewarded with an unforgettable nature experience and some of Grisons most beautiful photo spots.
And after an active day in the mountains? For Natalie there is hardly anything better than a cosy finish at Hotel Piz Buin – preferably with a juicy Bär’s Burger and a good glass of wine on the terrace.
When the sun shines over the Jöriseen and the light is reflected in the lakes, the water reveals its intense turquoise. Don't forget your camera.
